Punk Rock · Moncton, NB · Est. 2006
Biography
Formed in 2006, Secondsdown emerged from Canada’s east coast punk scene with a sharp mix of fast-paced rhythms and hook-driven songwriting, drawing clear inspiration from the melodic, high-energy sounds of Fat Wreck Chords with bands like Useless ID, Lagwagon, and No Use for a Name. The band quickly built momentum through regional touring and a growing catalog of high-energy driven material, but ongoing lineup changes ultimately cut that early run short before it could fully take off.

The band quickly built momentum through regional touring and a growing catalog of high-energy driven material, but ongoing lineup changes ultimately cut that early run short before it could fully take off.
Now, nearly two decades later, founding member Denis is relaunching Secondsdown as a solo project. Reviving unreleased songs from the band’s original era while pushing forward with new material. Blending the urgency of early 2000s punk with a modern, independent approach, the project embraces today’s digital landscape through self-production, streaming platforms, and direct-to-fan connection.
Secondsdown’s current chapter is rooted in unfinished business: reclaiming the past, refining the sound, and delivering the kind of punchy, melodic punk that first defined the band.
